Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 29, 2026

Kirby Kirkpatrick (“I,” “me,” or “my”) operates kirbykirkpatrick.com to share information about Building Courageous Connection, related resources, and opportunities to connect about speaking, workshops, and group use of the study. I respect your privacy and explain below what information this website collects and how it is used.

Information you provide

Book updates. If you sign up for updates, I collect the information you enter, such as your name and email address. I use it to send information about Building Courageous Connection, its publication, availability, and related resources. My email provider, Kit, processes subscriber information and delivers these messages on my behalf. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email.

Inquiries. If you submit a speaking, workshop, church, group, or other inquiry, I collect the name, email address, phone number, and message you provide. I use this information to review and respond to your request, discuss possible arrangements, and keep a record of our correspondence. Submitting an inquiry does not add you to the book updates list unless you separately sign up for it.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in a form message unless it is necessary for your inquiry.

Information collected when you visit

Sitejet hosts this website and processes information needed to deliver and secure it, such as technical connection and server log information. Sitejet’s built-in Matomo analytics may collect information about visits, including pages viewed, approximate location derived from an anonymized IP address, referring site, browser, device, and time of visit. When Matomo is active, it sets analytics cookies. Sitejet states that its server logs are deleted after 14 days, while analytics data may be retained in its statistics system.

The sample of Building Courageous Connection is displayed through a Heyzine flipbook. When you open it, your browser connects to Heyzine, which may receive technical information about that visit and use its own technologies to provide and measure the flipbook.

Why I use this information

I use personal information to:

  • Deliver the website and protect it from misuse.
  • Respond to requests you send me.
  • Send book updates when you have signed up.
  • Understand how visitors use the site and improve its content.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and maintain necessary business records.

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, I rely on your consent for email updates and for optional cookies or tracking that require consent; my legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, maintaining a secure and useful website, and managing correspondence; and compliance with legal obligations where relevant. You may withdraw consent at any time, including by unsubscribing from email updates. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and choices

Cookies and similar technologies can support site operation, analytics, the signup form, and embedded content. You can manage cookies through your browser and any consent controls provided on this site. Some features, including the embedded sample, may work differently if you block them. Optional technologies that require consent should be activated only after that consent is given.

Service providers and links to other sites

I share information with providers as needed to operate this site:

  • Sitejet for website hosting, form processing, and site statistics.
  • Kit for the book updates signup and email delivery.
  • Heyzine for the embedded book sample.

These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy notices. I may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or with your direction.

Links to Success Express Coaching, EverAfter Marriage Coaching, social media, a publisher, or other outside sites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This policy covers kirbykirkpatrick.com, not those separate sites.

International processing

I am based in the United States. My service providers may process or store information in other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, I will use appropriate arrangements available through those providers.

How long information is kept

I keep subscriber information while you remain subscribed, subject to information that must be retained to honor an unsubscribe request or meet legal obligations. I keep inquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship, and maintain necessary business records, then delete or anonymize them when they are no longer needed. Technical logs and analytics follow the retention practices of the services that provide them, as described above.

Your privacy choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information I hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a copy, restrict or object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. I may need to verify a request before acting on it, and some information may need to be retained when the law permits or requires it. I will respond as required by applicable law.

To make a privacy request, use the contact form. If you are in a location with a data protection authority, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority.

Children

This website is intended for a general audience interested in the book and related activities; it is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please use the contact form so I can review and address it.

Security

I use reasonable measures and service providers to protect information submitted through the site. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the site and its services change. The effective date at the top will show when the current version took effect. If this site later adds direct book sales, checkout, or additional services that collect information, I will update the policy to describe them.
